DESIGNERS
Carlotta Fortuna was born in Vicenza in 1984. After a degree in Interior Architecture, which led her to study in France and Australia and to work between New York and Milan, she enrolled at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, following the Painting in the two-year specialist course. Since 2019 she has been a teacher at Istituto Marangoni in Milan in the Masters “Surface and Textile Design” & “Contemporary Interior Design teaching CMF & Innovative Materials”.
Her pictorial investigation has always focused on plant life, from morphology to the means of communication of plants, seeking a new “botanical portraiture” based on the subtle sensibilities of plants. She delicately painted a contemporary herbarium as a place of relationship between the plant and the wider natural system of every living being.
For beWall Carlotta designs wallpapers that feature botanicals and animals in a lively and abstract way, masterfully using color contrasts.
